New York City is once again challenging software developers to create apps to make NYC better. This year, more than 60 City agencies, Commissions, and Business Improvement Districts have provided nearly 750 data sets. The submission period is now closed. Public voting occurs between February 9 at 10:00 am and March 8 at 5:00 pm EST.

Inflatable dams


DEP Installs Two Inflatable Dams in Brooklyn
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has completed a $15.7 million project to reduce pollution by installing two inflatable dams within existing large sewer lines that will temporarily store a mix of stormwater and wastewater that might otherwise be discharged into New York Harbor.
