Global Partners Junior Educators to Visit London in May 2012
As a result of a competition among 26 NYC Global Partners Junior educators to win a trip to London, four New York City educators were selected for their excellence, leadership, and enthusiasm for Global Partners Junior throughout the 2011-12 program year. While in London they will participate in professional development meetings with their British counterparts and take site visits to London schools.

Outreach Meeting in India
20 Mumbai school leaders came together in Mumbai to learn about Global Partners Junior in February 2012. The meeting was by hosted Ranjini Krishnaswamy, principal of St. Gregorio’s school, a participant since 2007. Commissioner Marjorie B. Tiven, Treasurer of NYC Global Partners and Anissa Bazari, Program Manager, presented at the meeting.

June 19 Student Exhibition
The 2011-12 student exhibition will be held at Gracie Mansion on June 19, 2012. Students from New York City will meet in person for the first time, participate in global awareness activities and video chats with their international peers, and present their original business plans as the culminating project in the World Marketplace curriculum.

Enrollment Reaches Record High in 2011-12 Program Year
2200 students participate in Global Partners Junior this year in 32 cities, from Accra to Vancouver. New York City students participate during the school day at public schools and during after-school programming supported by the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation, the NYC Dept. of Education, NYC Housing Authority, the New York Public Library, CAMBA, United Activities Unlimited, and Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation.
