Passanger Information | Wheelchair Accessible Transportation

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission unveils information about implementation of the accessibility rule and other aspects of wheelchair-accessible transportation.

Enacted in 2001, TLC For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) Rule 59B-17(C) requires each FHV base station (livery, black car and luxury limousine) to provide wheelchair-accessible service to persons with disabilities upon request, at an equivalent price and service level as non-wheelchair-accessible transportation. This also includes base stations located outside of New York City but licensed by the TLC.

I am a passenger who needs wheelchair-accessible transportation.

I would like to file a compliment or complaint with the TLC regarding a driver or licensed base station.

File a complaint on-line or call 3-1-1, New York City's number to access all non-emergency services. Please call 911 for emergencies.
