Commend a Driver

The TLC is pleased to accept compliments inspired by taxicab and for-hire vehicle drivers who go above and beyond the call of duty with acts of professionalism and courteous service.

To assist the TLC in processing your compliment, the following information will help us to identify the driver:

• Date and Time of Occurrence;
• Pick-up and Drop-Off Location;
• Driver’s Name;
• TLC License Number (a six or seven digit number on their posted license);
• Vehicle’s License Plate Number (for taxicab driver compliments, this information will be on your receipt);
• A description of what the driver did to inspire your compliment.
  

If you would like to receive a letter acknowledging your compliment from TLC’s Commissioner, please include your mailing or e-mail address.

Drivers recognized by the riding public for exemplary behavior are considered for recognition at the TLC’s Annual Driver Recognition Ceremony.
