The LaGuardia Community College Workforce1 Career Center will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2009 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  The Center will be open on Friday, November 27, 2009.

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday (first and third of the month) 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Orientation Schedule:
Orientation sessions will begin promptly at the start times listed below. Jobseekers are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis and should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time to sign-up for a session. Jobseekers should also bring their resumes with them.

Monday: 9:30am
Tuesday: 9:30am
Wednesday:   9:30am and 5:30pm
Thursday: 9:30am and 5:30pm
Saturday 10:00am (first and third of the month)

Travel Directions: 
LaGuardia Community College Workforce1 Career Center is located on 29-10 Thomson Avenue, Room C400, between 29th and 30th Streets.  

By Subway:
Take the 7 train to 33rd Street Station. Walk westbound to Thomson Avenue and 29th Street.

Alternatively, by subway take the E, V, or R trains to Queens Plaza Station and exit the station at the Jackson Avenue and Queens Boulevard exit. Walk over the Queens Boulevard Bridge (over the Sunnyside train yards), make a right on Skillman Avenue, and walk until you reach 29th Street.

By Bus:
From Queens:
Take the Q60 or Q32 to Queens Boulevard and Skillman Avenue.  Walk west to the corner of 29th Street and Thomson Avenue.

Alternatively, take Q39 to Thomson Avenue and 30th Street.
From Brooklyn: Take the B61 to the Citicorp Building in Long Island City. Walk across the Thomson Avenue Bridge.
From the Bronx: Take the QBx1 bus from Coop City or the Q44 bus to Main Street Flushing. At Main Street, take the No. 7 train to the 33rd Street Station. Walk two blocks west to Thomson Avenue and 29th Street.
From Manhattan: Take the Q32 bus along Madison Avenue and across 59th Street. Get off at the intersection of Queens Boulevard and Skillman Avenue and walk westbound on Skillman Avenue to the intersection of Thomson Avenue and 29th Street.

By Car:
The College is located on Thomson Avenue, three blocks west of the intersection of Thomson Avenue and Queens Boulevard.
From Queens: The Long Island Expressway, north to Van Dam Street exit. Make a right at the light and go to Thomson Avenue, and make a left.
From Brooklyn: Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, north, to Long Island Expressway exit (toward Midtown Tunnel) to Van Dam Street exit. Make a right at light and go to Thomson Avenue, and make a left.
From the Bronx: Triboro Bridge to Brooklyn-Queens Expressway south. Exit at Queens Boulevard, west, and when Queens Boulevard, forks, turn left onto Thomson Avenue.
From Manhattan: Take the 59th Street Bridge to Queens Boulevard, and follow signs to college.
