SBS Internship Program
We believe that our internship program offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to gain exposure to public sector work through hands-on experience.  Interns with a variety of skills and backgrounds are selected to join a team of SBS employees working on specific economic development initiatives.  While working to assist the city’s more than 200,000 small businesses, you will be introduced to the unique demands of local government in one of the world’s largest cities.  We encourage you to apply to join our highly motivated team as a SBS Intern.

Who we're looking for
SBS is seeking highly-motivated and well-organized undergraduate and graduate students to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Interns are expected to contribute up to a maximum of 17 hours per week during the Fall/Spring Semesters and our summer interns generally work a 35-hour work week. Paid and unpaid internships are available. 

Interns during the Fall/Spring semesters must be registered in at least one undergraduate or graduate course.  Summer interns do not have to be enrolled in summer courses, but must be enrolled in courses for the following Fall semester, or must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree at the completion of the previous Spring semester.  

Qualified intern candidates should posses the following:

• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
• A history of academic achievement
• Academic and/or Professional References
• Background in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
