Welcome to OMB
As part of the Office of the Mayor, OMB is responsible for preparing the Mayor's Preliminary and Executive Budgets and for advising the Mayor on issues affecting the City's fiscal health and the efficiency of City services and programs. This includes tracking all revenues and expenditures, developing tax policies and assessing City programs.

OMB is, in effect, the City government's chief financial office. It examines each aspect of government by looking for ways to improve existing services, making sure that services already being offered are needed and appropriately used and looking ahead to see how current trends could affect the City and the economy.
