MAYOR BLOOMBERG ENCOURAGES NEW YORKERS TO ENTER SWEEPSTAKES TO WIN TRIP TO BOSTON, COURTESY OF MAYOR MENINO AND THE NEW YORK GIANTS

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg announced today that New Yorkers can now enter to win a Super Tour of Boston, thanks to the New York Giants’ Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots. Per the terms of the friendly wager Mayor Bloomberg made with Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, one lucky New York family will receive a trip including airfare, hotel, several meals and attractions. New Yorkers can enter to win the trip via www.nyc.gov, by calling 311 or texting 311692 between now and Friday at 10:00 AM. Entrants must be 18 years or older, must reside within New York City and may only enter once.

“New York City is the best place to live in the world, but it doesn’t hurt to see what other cities have to offer every once in a while – just for a weekend, of course,” said Mayor Bloomberg. “The Giants brought us a great victory that we all celebrated yesterday with a fantastic parade, and the winner of this sweepstakes will get to continue the celebration in Boston and on Boston’s dime.”

The winner will receive:

  • Four roundtrip tickets on JetBlue
  • A two-night stay at the Ritz Carlton
  • Dinner for four at Legal Seafoods Harborside
  • Dinner for four at the Top of the Hub restaurant
  • Four tickets to a performance at the Citi Performing Arts Center
  • Four box seats at a Bruins or Celtics game at the TD Garden
  • A behind-the-scenes-tour of the newly expanded Isabella Stewart Gardner museum
  • A Duck Tour ride
  • A VIP tour of the personal diaries of John Adams, which inspired the HBO series, at the Boston Public Library, the first publically-support free city library in the world
  • A VIP tour of the Samuel Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain
  • A photo with Mayor Menino
