Abusers who have computer knowledge may be able
to track the Web sites that you visit and the documents that you open on the
computer. To look for help, use a safe computer at a public library, a friend's
house or at work. If you are sending an e-mail message asking for help, make
sure you use an email account with a password that the abuser does not know.
If someone who is abusive to you has access
to your computer, you may want to call 311 and ask for the City's Domestic
Violence Hotline (800-621-4673, TDD 866-604-5350 ) instead of emailing any
organization.
