The Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence offers many opportunities to contribute time, talent, and resources to augment the City's efforts to assist domestic violence victims and their families.

Businesses interested in joining the 2010 public education campaign can receive posters by calling the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence at (212) 788-3156.  To learn more about how to make a donation for services to domestic violence victims through the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, please visit www.nyc.gov/fund.  Learn more.

Recycle
Turn in your old cellular telephones to any Verizon Wireless store as part of the national HopeLine program. Cellular telephones are reprogrammed to 911 and given to domestic violence victims or sold with the resulting funds awarded to local domestic violence organizations. To find out how to donate to HopeLine or organize a drive at your office or church.

Make a financial contribution to the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence to help sustain current initiatives, such as the Family Justice Center in Brooklyn, and help create new Centers in the Bronx and Queens.

Volunteer
Contribute your time as a volunteer at one of the City's numerous community based organizations and initiatives improving the lives of domestic violence victims and their children, including the Family Justice Center in downtown Brooklyn. Opportunities range from greeting clients to playing with children to stuffing envelopes for an organization's fundraising event.
