The New
York City Police Department today announced street closures and anticipated
traffic delays for the weekend of September 25th
and 26th, 2010. Drivers should expect delays in the
following areas:
SPECIAL
ADVISORY
The Hudson Street
entrance to the Holland Tunnel was closed Sunday, September 19,
2010 for 3-5 years. All NJ-bound Holland Tunnel traffic must use Canal Street,
Varick
Street or the Broome Street/Watts Street approaches.
Motorists are encouraged to use n/b West Street to turn right into Canal Street as the
preferred entrance to the tunnel. Traffic signal timing will be adjusted at this
intersection for NJ-bound motorists. This closure is necessary to facilitate a
New York City Department of Design & Construction water-main project in the
lower Manhattan
