JOB DESCRIPTION:
A technical lead is needed for the support and enhancement of mobile inspections utilizing Siebel and Global Bay Mobile Technologies. The candidate selected will analyze, develop, unit test and debug work flows for the system as they relate to the business requirements of the Leased Housing Section 8 Program.
The successful candidate will also devise or modify business flows and procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. He/She will document requirements, design new procedures, prepare program specifications, and ensure that newly implemented procedures meet specific business needs.
The candidates must be competent to work at a high technical level of all phases of applications programming activities. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Design and develop new programs and procedures to support the functionality of the apartment inspections performed by the Leased Housing Department as it transitions into NICE Release 2.
- Work directly with Leased Housing business users and other IT groups to provide support to Leased Housing staff for the Siebel-Global Bay application.
- Analyze Leased Housing customer requirements and provide solutions utilizing a full life-cycle methodology.
- Develop reports, extracts, and interfaces.
- Serve as liaison to Leased Housing business users in gathering and understanding the detailed level requirements for new inspection projects and enhancements to existing ones. Document findings.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of business processes and effectively leverage that knowledge.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, systems programming, data communication, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or
- A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described in “1” above, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to “1”or”2” above. College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in “2” above on the basis that 60 semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience. A masters degree in computer science or a related computer field may be substituted for one year of required experience in “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least one year of satisfactory full-time experience in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Three to five years of related work experience.
- Strong experience with mobile inspections running on various platforms.
- Experience with SQL scripting.
- Experience in a lead position in a project team environment.
- Experience in a technical position in a project team environment.
SKILLS DESIRED:
- Ability to support and create reports using various report writing tools.
- Strong customer interaction, organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent work ethics and a strong team player.
