The New York City Housing Authority is now accepting parking permit applications for the next parking year cycle from May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013. Parking applications from current parking holders will be given priority for a parking permit. All other parking applicants will be issued permits based on the order in which their applications were received starting March 26, 2012. Applications can be obtained from the Management Office or by visiting NYCHA’s website at www.nyc.gov/nyc/nychaparking.

If you are interested in applying for a 2012/2013 Parking Permit, you must submit the following documents:

• Signed Original Parking Permit Application (keep a copy for your own records)
• Money Order or Bank Certified Check payable to NYCHA (no personal check or cash)
• Copy of current New York State Vehicle Registration
  (For NYCHA residents: the vehicle must be registered to your developement address in order to qualify for the reduced resident fee. If the vehicle is not registered to your current address, you will have to pay the non-resident fee)
• Copy of NYC or NY State Parking Permit for Persons with Disabilities, if applicable

All applications along with appropriate parking fee payments and required documentation must be mailed to:

• Do not bring a completed application to a development management office.
• For all NYCHA Residents and Non-residents – All fees for non-reserved and reserved parking are due in full with the application.
• Please refer to the website at www.nyc.gov/nyc/nychaparking for the parking fee schedule.
• All applicants who are currently on the parking waiting list DO NOT have to submit an application until you are notified.

Please note that an incomplete parking application or incorrect payment amount may result in the rejection of the application.
