Doing Business With NYCHA - TV, Film, Photography

Filming at NYCHA

New York City is one of the world’s greatest movie sets, and the buildings and grounds of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) offer a remarkable variety of choice exterior and interior locations for film, television, and still photography.

NYCHA has recently welcomed Warner Brothers' “I Am Legend,” Universal Studios' “American Gangster,” Spike Lee Productions, and multiple episodes of all three “Law and Order” series. The Authority invites motion picture and television production companies interested in shooting on our properties, to scout our residential buildings, courtyards, playgrounds, and community centers. Additionally, many of our rooftops offer spectacular panoramas of the most recognizable city in the world!

Click on the link below for a listing and photos of those locations which have proved most popular over the last several years. There is also a link to our standard Letter Agreement, which sets forth the terms and conditions under which the production will take place.

If you are interested in using or scouting one of our properties, please contact our Media Services Technicians at (212) 306-3314 or (212) 306-3321 in the Department of Communications.

Please review the links below for more information about shooting TV productions, films and/or still photography on NYCHA property.

We look forward to working with you!
