| HHC Options counselor assists patient at Elmhurst Hospital. |
Through HHC Options, low and moderate-income HHC patients can get affordable healthcare. HHC helps patients apply for public health insurance programs for which they may qualify. If a patient is not eligible for public insurance, we reduce the patient's fee to an affordable amount, based on family size and income. For example, a child in a family of four whose annual income is between $55,876 and $67,050 can be seen at an HHC hospital or clinic for a fee of $15 per visit.
Financial assistance is available to New Yorker City residents without regard to immigration status. Of course, all information related to any patient's immigration status is strictly confidential.
