Big Apple Greeters are New Yorkers who volunteer to share their inside knowledge of New York with visitors to the City, through tours of local neighborhoods.

The show, based on Kyle Smith’s eponymous book, focuses on four friends in different phases of marriage and relationships, as told by one of their single friends in the music industry.

Industry Execs Learn About “Made in NY” Incentives

On October 19, Katherine Oliver, Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, and Pat Kaufman, Executive Director of the New York State Governor’s Office for Motion Picture and Television Development, hosted a dinner for production executives at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. At the dinner, Commissioner Oliver and Executive Director Kaufman showcased the incentives for shooting in New York City to a group of network and studio representatives.

iEMMYS in Entertainment Capital

On November 19-20, television producers from around the world will gather in New York for the International Academy of Television Arts & Science’s International Emmy World Television Festival. The festival, which will incorporate and expand the 7 year-old iEMMYS festival, will recognize excellence in media and entertainment programming and provide a platform for producers to showcase their work.
