December 1, 2005 – New York City’s “Made in NY” incentive program continues to attract productions in large volumes to the City, with more than $500 million in new business so far this year, which has created jobs for more than 6,000 New Yorkers. Productions currently around town include:

DELIRIOUS, starring Steve Buscemi, about an amateur celebrity photographer whose friend, a homeless aspiring actor, becomes involved with the hottest female pop star of the moment.
SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS, starring Billy Bob Thornton, about a traffic officer with bad luck who enrolls in a confidence building class to win the girl of his dreams.
SPINNING INTO BUTTER, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, about a racially motivated crime in a New England college which leaves the dean of the school (Parker) at the center of an investigation.
Julie Taymor’s ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, about a youth who comes to New York City during the Vietnam War in search of his father. He soon finds himself falling in love with a sheltered suburban girl, all set to music by the Beatles.
MY SUPER-EX GIRLFRIEND, starring Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson, which tells the story of a regular guy who learns that his neurotic girlfriend is actually a superhero.
