December 1, 2004 - Rescue Me, a new television show being produced by Sony for F/X, is already setting records! The show is the number one rated new basic-cable television series for adults ages 18-49 this year.
The series, which stars Dennis Leary and focuses on a group of post-September 11 firefighters, is shot exclusively in New York City. "The Made in NY program has completely redefined what it means to shoot in New York City,” Executive Producer Jim Serpico said. “Some of the best locations that have always been true NYC secrets are finally becoming available to productions with the City's scouting assistance. The only thing greater than the creative energy and production benefits of this City, however, is its native crew-NYC has the best production people in the world.”
Rescue Me employs 75 cast and crew members and has already made liberal use of City locations, shooting at the AOL Time Warner Building; Gristede's; P.S. 188; Hotel Gansevoort; Two Boots Pizza; St. Vincent's Midtown Hospital; Church of the Holy Redeemer; 7B Bar; M& B West Side Deli; Neponsit, Queens; Gateway National Recreation Area in Brooklyn; Long Island City, Queens; Van Cortland Park in the Bronx; Inwood; and Morningside Park in Harlem.
Rescue Me airs on F/X on Wednesdays at 10:00 pm.
