November 1, 2004 - The New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) has awarded $742,800 in production awards to New York film and media artists this year!

NYSCA provides State funding to support non-profit arts and cultural organizations in New York State.

Numerous City residents are among the 71 recipients of awards ranging from $3,000- $17,700. The projects receiving funding range from a video about “cinematic culture” to documentaries about theatre of the absurd, cultural traditions and the United Nations.

The deadline for registration to be considered for a 2005 award from NYSCA, is March 1, 2005.
