The event, held on Monday, September 10th, provided a forum for international and domestic filmmakers and producers to interact with representatives from the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, and to learn about the incentives available to them when producing projects in New York City. “We’re incredibly proud of the numerous incentives, talent pool, and locations that New York City has to offer. Being in Toronto provided us with a wonderful opportunity to spread this news to filmmakers we may not otherwise have met. We’re incredibly grateful to HSBC for hosting the event, and are enthusiastic about working with some of these people that we met,” said Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting Commissioner Katherine Oliver. Commissioner Oliver welcomed the attendees and was joined by Mike MacIntyre, Senior Vice President, Premier Corporate and Professional Services, and Geoff Hoy, senior vice president, HSBC Toronto Region. “We were happy to be a part of it,” said MacIntyre. “HSBC is a leading bank for film production in New York City as well as [for production] in Canada.
