October 1, 2006 – A new service is available to help filmmakers connect with professional buyers from all territories and distribution platforms! inDplay describes itself as “the online marketplace for film, TV, and video rights.”
Sellers and filmmakers list their projects for free on inDplay. The resulting film pages include details such as synopses, available rights, cast/crew lists, festival screenings, trailers and press kits. Buyers, in turn, search the marketplace for films and videos that match their acquisition criteria. To license a program, the buyer will initiate the negotiation and actually complete the deal through the inDplay system. inDplay also helps users to manage a portfolio of rights, contracts, deliverables, and payments through advanced reporting and tracking.
