Miracles on 125th Street

a scene from Miracle's Boys

October 1, 2004 - Miracles are at work in Harlem! Miracle's Boys, a six-episode series being produced by MTV Network's The N and On Screen Entertainment in association with RCN Entertainment, focuses on three half-American, half-Puerto Rican boys growing up after the death of their parents.

“Shot entirely on location, Harlem becomes a character in the drama,” producer Leslie Farrell said. “From landmark locations to the side streets with moms and pops who make sure everyone is alright, Harlem brings a realness that cannot be manufactured. The series is working closely with the Harlem community to bring these hidden treasures to the screen.”

The production utilized various Harlem locations including The Apollo, Mount Morris Park, Magic Johnson Theatres and Marcus Garvey Park, shooting from August 2- October 1, 2004.

Other films which have recently taken advantage of Harlem's rich locations include Analyze That, Anger Management, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Forrester, Kate and Leopold, Mona Lisa Smile, Spider-Man 2 and the upcoming feature films The Last First Kiss and Stay.

In New York City, The N Network is available on Time Warner cable channel 129. Stay tuned for the premiere of Miracle's Boys in February 2005!
