October 1, 2004 - This fall, New York City will be the site of the first festival for film festivals! The International Film Festival Summit will be held at the Hudson Hotel on December 7-8, 2004.

The Summit is designed to bring festival organizers together to network with one another and with vendors and sponsors. Scheduled events include seminars on managing submissions, finding sponsorship, marketing, involving communities, integrating technology and the future of the film festival industry.

New York City is the independent film capital of the United States, and more than 50 film festivals are staged in Gotham each year.
