On Tuesday, May 1, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg unveiled a public awareness campaign featuring a series of print and broadcast advertisements designed to combat the creation, distribution, and sale of illegally recorded films in New York City. The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting partnered with the MPAA's anti-piracy campaign, and in doing so, allotted bus shelters throughout the five boroughs to promote these print advertisements.
