June 1, 2007 - The ACE (American Cinematic Experience) Film Festival, part of the River to River Festival, is gearing up for a three-day showcase focusing on the red, white and blue.
The theme of this year’s festival is American pride and patriotism. ACE targets and embraces domestic made films and videos in an effort to strengthen and promote our country’s independent cinema, according to festival organizers.
The event is scheduled to take place August 24-26, 2007 at The Broad Street Ballroom in Downtown Manhattan. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 4. A portion of all ticket proceeds will go to benefit to The New York Foundation for the Arts.
The programming will span three days and feature the best hands in American filmmaking to a full house of fellow filmmakers, independent cinema fans and industry professionals.
As part of the event, the entire 8th floor of the festival venue will be transformed into Club ACE, a social and networking experience. There, attendees will be treated with free food, live music, free massages and a filmmaker’s lounge for both the filmmakers and the fans to mingle.
