May 1, 2007 - The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting was selected on April 10th as an Official Honoree of the 11th Annual Webby Awards.
The Webby Awards judge various websites for creativity, ease of navigation and impact. The Official Honoree distinction is awarded to work that scores in the top 15% of all work entered into the Webby Awards competition. This achievement isn’t easy to attain, considering more than 8,000 entries were received from all 50 states and more than 60 countries.
“This is an outstanding accomplishment,” stated Webby Awards’ Executive Director David-Michael Davies. “The 11th Annual Webby Awards is the largest in our history; being named on Officials Honoree is a tremendous honor worth celebrating.”
“Our Website is sometimes the first introduction people have to our office. Therefore, we strive to maintain the most attractive, detailed and easy-to-manage website format. We are grateful to receive such a designation for our efforts,” said MOFTB Commissioner Katherine Oliver.
