Hotels Offer Discounts to Production Industry

May 1, 2004 - The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting wants industry professionals to feel at home in New York City -- which is why the agency has negotiated agreements for them to stay at some of the City's best hotels and residences at reduced rates.

The agreement offers discounts at more than 60 New York City hotels and 10 extended stay residences. A number of new hotels have recently been added to this program, including the Hotel Giraffe, a Moderne style luxury hotel in the Flatiron district; The Roger Williams hotel, a contemporary hotel in Murray Hill; The Franklin Hotel, a contemporary hotel on the Upper East Side; and the Chelsea Hotel in Chelsea, a favorite among New York's creative community. Also new to the program are four BridgeStreet extended stay residences across the City.

Each hotel or residence offers a minimum of a ten percent discount on their lowest day rate, to film, theatre and broadcasting professionals in town on business projects. Visit the "Production Incentives" section of the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting's website, or use the linke below for more information on the airline, hotel, rental car and parking discounts available to professionals who stage their productions in the City!
