April 1, 2006 - The 2nd annual New York Television Festival is off and running with its Independent Pilot Competition. The competition is calling for submissions of comedy, drama, reality and educational pilots with running times of fifteen to twenty-two minutes, and animation pilots with running times of two to twenty minutes. The deadline for entries is July 7; however producers who submit pilots before June 1 will receive a $20 discount off the $50 entry fee. The entry fee will be waived for student submissions.
Entries will be considered for inclusion in the New York Television Festival, September 12-17, 2006, which will again bring television producers from around the globe to New York City and provide a platform for the work of the City's talented artists.
