January 4, 2005 - On January 1, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg paid a visit to the first New Yorkers of the New Year. Noah Santos and Daamiah Hunter were born just after midnight at Elmhurst and Our Lady of Mercy Hospitals. The Mayor presented both babies with “Made in NY” t-shirts and hats.

The “Made in NY” campaign was developed by the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting to recognize and celebrate the thousands of television shows, feature films, commercials, music videos, documentaries, print ad campaigns and theatre projects that are made in New York City, the entertainment capital of the world. “Made in NY”, a mark of distinction, is awarded to productions shot 75 percent or more in New York City.
