January 1, 2005 - The Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) has negotiated additional discounts for the production industry in New York City! Hotels offering ten percent or greater discounts for members of the industry working in New York City now includes the Flatotel, Hudson, Morgans, Hotel Rodger Williams, Royalton and Soho Grand.
The MOFTB has also negotiated discounts on a number of ancillary production services. Jiva On-Site Fitness is offering a ten percent discount on personal training, massage therapy and fitness equipment for production crews and First Response Ambulance is offering a 20 percent discount on stand-by medics, prop emergency vehicles and personnel for production and/or stunts. The discounts organized by the MOFTB complement the City's sales tax exemptions on all production goods and services.
