MOFTB at S-1,000 and Climbing

Production Coordinator Liz-Ann Acosta presents Palmer with her permit -- and a "Made in NY" goodie bag

January 1, 2005 - On November 26, 2004, the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) issued permit number S-1000, the 1000th student permit to be issued in 2004. The lucky producer, Dana Palmer, a student at NYU, received a “Made in NY” t-shirt and goodie bag.

Palmer said she has already worked with the MOFTB on a number of projects and has always been happy with the service. “I’ve gotten a lot of permits to shoot, and the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting has always facilitated our exteriors,” she said.

Recently, the MOFTB began making regular presentations at City film schools to educate students about the City resources available to them when they shoot in New York City.
