Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, the UFA, the UFOA, and the CSU are looking
for you to Build a valuable relationship with a child in need.
you are at least 21 years of age and an FDNY employee, family member, or retiree,
you could be the perfect mentor for a child who lost a firefighter
or EMS parent in the line of duty.
We are looking for volunteers to provide
one-on-one support to a child of one of our "families." Mentors
are required to spend 8 hours per month with the child they are matched
with for at least one year.

The Counseling Service Unit of the
FDNY continues to recruit FDNY members, their adult family
members, and retirees who are interested in mentoring a child
of FDNY personnel lost in the line of duty as part of the
FDNY Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.
There is a particular need for mentors in Orange County,
Westchester County, and Nassau and Suffolk Counties. This
is a unique opportunity for FDNY members to connect with this
group of families and to make a positive impact in the lives
of these children. Mentors must be 21 years of age and are
