Fire Prevention Week: October 4-10, 2009
The FDNY will commemorate Fire Prevention Week 2009 from October 4 to 10. The week is a way for the FDNY to stress the importance of fire safety for all New Yorkers.
Please join members of the Fire Safety Education Unit, Bureau of Operations and FDNY Foundation during one of the many free events scheduled throughout the City. The Department also recommends you take part in other fire prevention activities such as, having a fire drill, or visiting the FDNY Fire Zone, your local firehouse or the New York City Fire Department Museum and Learning Center.
