The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed for longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8 am and breakdown must be completed by 7 pm.

Manhattan

West 12th Street between Greenwich Street and Hudson Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 13th Street between 10th Avenue and Washington Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 15th Street between 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 17th Street between Broadway and Park Avenue South

This street will be closed 10 pm to 6 am Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights to facilitate crane operation.

East 18th Street between 5th Avenue and Broadway

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 18th Street between 7th Avenue and Avenue of the Americas

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 21st Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Fort Washington Avenue between West 168th Street and West 167th Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Haven Avenue between West 169th Street and West 170th Street

This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

Clinton Street between Delancey Street and Rivington Street

This street will be closed 7 am to 3 pm Saturday and/or Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

Greenwich Street between Laight Street and Vestry Street

This street will be closed Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Greenwich Street between Morris Street and Battery Place

This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 5 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.

Great Jones Street between Lafayette Street and Bowery

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Battery Park Underpass South Tube from Southbound West Street/9A to Northbound FDR Drive

One of two lanes will be intermittently closed from 8 pm Friday to 5 am Monday to facilitate NYDOT roadway work.

FDR Drive Southbound Service Roadway between East 34th Street and East 30th Street

This southbound service roadway will be closed 8 am to 6 pm Saturday and/or Sunday to facilitate crane operation. Note: the entrance from 30th Street and 34th Street to the southbound FDR Drive is not impacted.

Lexington Avenue Fall Festival-Tudor City Association-Soldiers and Airmen Festival

The following street will be closed Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm for the Lexington Avenue Fall Festival-Tudor City Association-Soldiers and Airmen Festival as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Immune Deficiency Walk-A-Thon

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 9 am to 11 am for the Immune Deficiency Walk-A-Thon as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Chabad of Wall Street

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 12 pm Noon to 6 pm for the Chabad of Wall Street as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Brotherhood of Carriers and Incensors of the Lord of Miracles Parade

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 12 pm Noon to 7 pm for the Brotherhood of Carriers and Incensors of the Lord of Miracles Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Stone Street Pedestrian Mall

The following streets will be closed daily from March 15th through November 30th from 10 am to 10 pm for the Stone Street Pedestrian Mall as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

  • Mill Lane between Stone Street and South William Street

Manhattan/Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge

Due to the Brooklyn Bridge Ramps Rehabilitation Project, several lane closures may affect motorists travelling between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Local streets may experience single lane closures as needed and Manhattan-bound lane closures continue overnight throughout the duration of the project. Any other closures, including Manhattan-bound closures that extend into daytime hours during selected weekends, will be highlighted below. Brooklyn-bound traffic will be maintained throughout the project as will the span’s pedestrian and cycling path. During Manhattan-bound closures, motorists will be detoured to the nearby Manhattan Bridge or may choose other crossings.

Unless otherwise notified of specific occurrences, nighttime closures are as follows:

Overnight Detours for Manhattan-Bound Traffic
Monday - Thursday nights: 11 pm* to 6 am
Saturday 12:01 am* to 6 am Monday

* To allow traffic to clear before the reversal begins, the eastbound BQE exit onto the bridge closes 30 minutes earlier and other Brooklyn ramps onto the bridge shut down 5-15 minutes earlier.

Brooklyn

Montague Street between Hicks Street and Henry Street

This street will be closed Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Hicks Street between Montague Street and Henry Street

This street will be closed Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Brooklyn Triathlon

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 7 am to 12 pm Noon for the Brooklyn Triathlon as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek

This bridge will be closed Saturday from 7 am to 1 pm to facilitate NYCDOT bridge repairs.

Queens

23rd Street between Queens Plaza North and 41st Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation

Queens Plaza South between Crescent Street and 28th Avenue

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained on the service roadway for access to Queens Boulevard and Jackson Avenue, access to Northern Boulevard is not affected. These lanes closures will occur 2 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate NYCDOT overhead track replacement work.

The following street will be closed Saturday from 12:00 pm Noon to 5 pm for the DOT Weekend Walks Seneca Avenue Walk as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Howard Beach Halloween Parade

The following street will be closed Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm for the Howard Beach Halloween Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Staten Island/New Jersey Crossings

Bayonne Bridge

One of two lanes in each direction is open to traffic for PANY/NJ long term navigational clearance project. No oversized or overnight vehicles are permitted. Overnight Bridge closures started January 8th and continue through the duration of the project. The closures are: Monday through Thursday from 9 pm to 5 am and Friday midnight to 8 am Saturday. No weekend closures on Saturday and Sunday and holiday weekends. During closures, motorists should use the Goethals Bridge as an alternate.
