The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed for longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8 am and breakdown must be completed by 7 pm.

As part of its citywide traffic improvement program, the New York City Department of Transportation has compiled a list of areas where Street construction or Street events will impede the normal flow of traffic this weekend.

Manhattan

West 10th Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 11th Street between 1st Avenue and Avenue A

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 15th Street between 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 21st Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 22nd Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 25th Street between 8th Avenue and 7th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 8 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 30th Street (Lincoln Tunnel Approach Roadway) between 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue

This street will be closed from 12:01 am Saturday through 4 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.

West 31st Street between 10th Avenue and 9th Avenue

This street will be closed from 12:01 am Saturday through 4 am Monday to facilitate crane operation.

East 35th Street between Park Avenue and Lexington Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 41st Street between Broadway and 6th Avenue

This street will be closed Sunday from 3 am to 10 am to facilitate crane operation.

East 47th Street between Lexington Avenue and 3rd Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

East 49th Street between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue

79th Street Transverse Roadway between Central Park West and 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm to facilitate tree pruning operations.

West 92nd Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Columbus Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate sewer installation.

West 113th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 114th Street between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Charles Street between West Street and Washington Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Elk Street between Reade Street and Duane Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Duane Street between Elk Street and Lafayette Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Cherry Street between Rutgers Slip and Pike Slip

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

South Street (FDR Drive Exit 3) between Gouverneur Slip West and Jackson Street

This street will be closed from 2 am to 6 am Saturday, and from 2 am to 7 am Sunday to facilitate utility work.

Lunar New Year Parade

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm for the Madison Street to Madison Avenue Lunar New Year Parade as permitted by NYPD.

Queens

Beach 40th Street between Beach Channel Drive and Dead End

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Union Hall Street between Archer Avenue and Jamaica Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Hunter Street between 42nd Road and 43rd Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operations.

Manhattan/Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge

One of three lanes eastbound (Brooklyn-bound) will be closed Saturday from 2 am to 2 pm, and two of three lanes eastbound (Brooklyn-bound) will be closed Saturday from 3 am to 7 am.  One of three lanes westbound (Manhattan-bound) will be closed Saturday from 1 am to 7 am, and two of three lanes westbound (Manhattan-bound) will be closed Saturday from 2 am to 6 am.  These closures are necessary to facilitate long-term bridge construction activity.

Brooklyn

6th Avenue between Dean Street and Pacific Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 6 am to 9 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Bridge Street between Willoughby Street and Fulton Street

This street will be closed 10 pm Saturday through 9 am Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

Foster Avenue between Rugby Road and East 17th Street

This street will be closed from 8 pm Friday through 5 am Monday, until April 4, 2016, to facilitate NYCT mainline track repairs.

Staten Island/New Jersey Crossings

Bayonne Bridge

One of two lanes in each direction is open to traffic for PANY/NJ long term navigational clearance project. No oversized or overweight vehicles are permitted.   Overnight Bridge closures started January 8th, 2014 and continue through the duration of this long term project.  The closures are:  Monday through Thursday from 9 pm to 5 am and Friday midnight to 11:59 pm Saturday.  No weekend closures on Sunday and holiday weekends.  During closures, motorists should use the Goethals Bridge as an alternate.
