The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed for longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8 am and breakdown must be completed by 7 pm.

Manhattan

West 11th Street between 7th Avenue and 6th Avenue

This street will be closed 6 am Saturday to 9 pm Sunday to facilitate crane operation.

West 28th Street between 12th Avenue and 11th Avenue

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

West 51st Street between 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Plaza

This street will be closed 12:01 am to 8 am Saturday to facilitate crane operation.

West 56th Street between 6th Avenue 5th Avenue

This street will be closed Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Orchard Street between Rivington Street and Stanton Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Mercer Street between Broome Street and Spring Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

Stone Street Pedestrian Mall

The following streets will be closed daily from March 15th through November 30th from 10 am to 10 pm for the Stone Street Pedestrian Mall as permitted by the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

  • Mill Lane between Stone Street and South William Street

Little Italy Pedestrian Mall

The following streets will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm for the Little Italy Pedestrian Mall as permitted by the Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

The following streets will be closed Sunday from 12:00 pm Noon to 6 pm for the NYC Triathlon as permitted by NYPD.

  • Henry Hudson Parkway (Northbound) between West 57th Street and the Henry Hudson Bridge
  • West 72nd Street between Riverside Drive and Central Park West
  • West 79th Street between Riverside Drive and Traffic Circle (Near West Side Highway)
Bronx:
  • Henry Hudson Parkway (Northbound) between the Henry Hudson Bridge and the Mosholu Parkway
  • Mosholu Parkway (Eastbound) between Henry Hudson Parkway and West Gun Hill Road

East 55th Street Synagogue and Friends of Dag Hammarskjold-Lexington Avenue Summer Festival

These street will be closed Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm for the East 55th Street Synagogue and Friends of Dag Hammarskjold-Lexington Avenue Summer Festival as permitted by the Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Manhattan/Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge

Due to the Brooklyn Bridge Ramps Rehabilitation Project, several lane closures may affect motorists travelling between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Local streets may experience single lane closures as needed and Manhattan-bound lane closures continue overnight throughout the duration of the project. Any other closures, including Manhattan-bound closures that extend into daytime hours during selected weekends, will be highlighted below. Brooklyn-bound traffic will be maintained throughout the project as will the span's pedestrian and cycling path. During Manhattan-bound closures, motorists will be detoured to the nearby Manhattan Bridge or may choose other crossings.

Unless otherwise notified of specific occurrences, nighttime closures are as follows:

Overnight Detours for Manhattan-Bound Traffic
Monday - Thursday nights: 11 pm* to 6 am
Saturday 12:01 am* to 7 am
Sunday 12:01 am* to 9 am

* To allow traffic to clear before the reversal begins, the eastbound BQE exit onto the bridge closes 30 minutes earlier and other Brooklyn ramps onto the bridge shut down 5-15 minutes earlier.

Manhattan/Bronx

Willis Avenue Bridge over Harlem River

This bridge will be closed Friday from 1 am to 5:30 am and Saturday 2 am to 6 am to facilitate NYCDOT bridge swing span testing operation. Motorists should use alternate bridge crossings such as Madison Avenue Bridge.

Brooklyn

Albee Square between Willoughby Street and Fulton Street

This street will be closed Saturday and/or Sunday 8 am to 6 pm to facilitate crane operation.

DOT Weekend Walk's TAMA Summer Fest

The following street will be closed Saturday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm for the DOT Weekend Walk's TAMA Summer fest as permitted by the Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

Brooklyn/Queens

Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek

This bridge will be closed 7 am to 2 pm Saturday August 2, 9, 2014 to facilitate NYCDOT bridge repairs. Motorists should use Metropolitan Avenue bridge as detour.

Jams Jamaica Avenue Festival

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 12:00 pm Noon to 6 pm for the Jams Jamaica Avenue Festival as permitted by the Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).

DOT Weekend Walks Sunnyside Summer Strolls

The following streets will be closed Saturday from 1 pm to 7 pm for the DOT Weekend Walks Sunnyside Summer Strolls as permitted by the Mayor's Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO).
