9/11 Health - Resources for Researchers

The World Trade Center (WTC) Health Registry

The WTC Health Registry facilitates efficient identification of potential participants for studies conducted by external researchers.

Researchers may complete and submit an application to request de-identified baseline data or request that the WTC Health Registry send information about their study to appropriate registrants. Applications are restricted to projects whose purpose is to support medical, public health or emergency preparedness research, or other scientific research.

All applications are reviewed by the seven-member WTC Health Registry Review Committee, which consists of representatives from the Registry's Scientific, Community, and Labor Review Committees, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. The Review Committee reviews applications for scientific value and the expected contribution to study participants and the community.
