If you have a friend or family member who is not quite themselves, you can help them find help. If you’re worried that about your child's emotions, behavior or development, there are many free and low-cost services available for New Yorkers.

Lifenet is a free, confidential help line for New York City residents. You can call 24 hours per day/7 days a week. The staff of trained mental health professionals help callers find mental health and substance abuse services.
