Payment Plans
Eligibility
To be eligible for a payment plan, the taxpayer must be current in the filing of all required tax returns.
Requirements
You must have an appointment to meet with a Finance representative about a business tax payment plan. When you meet with the representative, you will be required to submit a Financial Statement. You may also be asked to provide one or more items to document your Financial Statement.
Call the Collections Call Center at 212-440-5489 to make an appointment. A Finance representative will meet with you at 66 John Street, 2nd floor, Window #4, New York, NY 10038. Payment Plans will not be issued at Window 4 without an appointment.
You are also required to make a down payment on the amount you owe. Individuals and business owners with an outstanding balance of $500 or less will be required to make a 50% down payment, with the remaining balance paid within 45 days. For balances of $501 or more, a 50% down payment will be required and subsequent payment installments will be determined during the interview.
