DDC works with documented 501(c)(3) not-for-profit groups or organizations that have been awarded City capital funds by elected officials of the City of New York. Following the execution and filing of certain legal documents, such as a Funding Agreement, Restrictive Covenant or UCC 1, DDC administers the payment of City capital funds. Payments are made to the groups or organizations on a reimbursement basis after receiving invoices in support of a capitally eligible project with a City public purpose.
DDC does not determine or select the funding recipients. All discretionary awards of City capital funds to not-for-profit groups or organizations are awarded directly by elected officials of the City of New York.
To Facilitate Purchases, DDC Will:
- Work with the not-for-profit groups or organizations to meet City requirements once they are awarded City capital funds and such award is placed in the City budget.
- Work with the elected officials once they have made their allocations.
- Work with City oversight offices to ensure capital eligibility and City public purpose requirements are satisfied.
- Work with the not-for-profits during the execution phase of the Funding Agreement and Restrictive Covenant documents, which are non-negotiable citywide form documents.
