Bronx East-West Bicycle Corridors, 2008

Overview:
Bronx East- West Bicycle Corridors This project is a study of three east-west corridors in the Bronx to determine the feasibility of installing bicycle lanes adjacent to the vehicular lanes (Class II bicycle lanes) or shared lanes on the streets.  The purpose of this project is to build upon the existing bicycle network in the Bronx and establish connections to major destinations such as parks and transit.  The current NYC Bicycle Master Plan was examined and where feasible, the proposed route is recommended.  If the route proposed in the NYC Bicycle Master Plan is not feasible an alternative route is recommended.
