Active Studies & Proposals:

	Laurelton Rezoning: The Department of City Planning proposes Zoning Map amendments for approximately 220 blocks in the Laurelton neighborhood of Community District 13 in southeast Queens. The proposed rezoning would reflect and protect the area's established one- and two-family character and provide an opportunity for contextual housing opportunities where the existing zoning precludes residential development.
	Waldheim Rezoning: The Department of City Planning proposes zoning map amendments for 44 blocks in the north-central Queens neighborhood of Waldheim, Community District 7. The proposed contextual zoning changes would better reflect prevailing neighborhood character and provide limited opportunity for moderate residential growth.
	Rockaway Neighborhoods Rezoning: The Department of City Planning has proposed a comprehensive rezoning strategy for 280 blocks of the Rockaway Peninsula extending more than six miles in Queens Community District 14.
	Dutch Kills: The proposed rezoning would remove current restrictions on residential development and provide incentives to promote affordable housing.
	Sunnyside Gardens: The Department of City Planning proposes a zoning text amendment to modify the provisions of the Special Planned Community Preservation (PC) District as they relate to Sunnyside Gardens.
