Community District #4, the Capital District, is made up of the following
Bronx neighborhoods: Mt. Eden, Highbridge, West Concourse, East Concourse, and
Concourse Village. Our strong, vibrant neighborhoods encompass East 149th
Street on the South, East 174th Street on the North, The Harlem River on the
West, and Webster to Park Avenue on the East. Nearly 140,000 thousand residents
celebrate our resurgence, and welcome new cultures, languages, hopes, and dreams
of the many new Americans making this district their home, from around the
globe. We celebrate their distinct and varied positive contributions.
Ours is a great place to visit, work, and live. We are the host community to
the world renowned Yankee Stadium, The Terminal Market Gateway Center, the
Borough's Court System, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, and many Art Deco
buildings along the Grand Concourse Historic District. Soon our community will
enjoy newly renovated recreational facilities, such as tennis courts, a state of
the art track & field, and a new water front park. We continue to attract
public and private sector economic development opportunities; again, District #4
is an ideal location to do business and reside.
