James P. Stuckey is a lay member of the Public Design Commission of the City of New York and Divisional Dean, Clinical Professor and Klara and Larry Silverstein Chair of the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Jim is also President and CEO of Verdant Properties, which specializes in residential, office, retail, infrastructure and mixed-use development projects. Formerly, he was an Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial and Residential Development at Forest City Ratner Companies. Prior to joining Forest City , Jim was Managing Director at Gronich & Company, overseeing real estate and development advisory services for developers, landlords and tenants. He also previously served as President of the Economic Development Corporation, where he was responsible for more than $15 billion in commercial, industrial and waterfront real estate development projects. Jim is also a former Chairman of the Board for the Center against Domestic Violence, and is a current or past member of the Urban Land Institute, the Council on Urban Economic Development and the Lake Naomi Architectural Review Committee.
