Bulk Item Disposal Information
|
|
 |
|
The City provides free curbside removal of bulk items from residences. A
bulk item is too large to fit into a garbage bin or bag.
Bulk metal items are collected on recycling days, while all other bulk items are collected on normal garbage days. Collection of large non-commercial bulk items from residential buildings is limited to six items per normal garbage day. A total of 12 bulk items can be placed out on a recycling day (6 regular bulk plus 6 metal bulk).
The following guidelines apply:
- An appointment must be made for any appliance
containing CFCs (such as air conditioners and refrigerators)
- Bulk items may NOT be brought to the City's special
waste disposal sites
- Construction or renovation debris is considered commercial waste unless the owner did not hire personnel to make improvements
